You see I was greeted by the below when I came home and its thrown me into a bit of a spin as I am desperate to read it… right now (actually The Haunted Hotel has me hooked so thats not technically true) and if not now tomorrow.
You see the inlay hints it could be inspired by some of the great sensation novels. I am a huge fan of Audrey Niffenegger as The Time Travellers Wife is one of my all time favourites but I digress, I will pop the blurb below and you can make the decision for me…

I am also reading this book (American edition as I am in the States) and am about 2/3 of the way through. All I can say is that it is definitely interesting. Hope you enjoy it and I can’t wait to read your review on this book.

The Time Traveller’s Wife was one of my favourites too!
I am planning to read it next week, but am very worried about it – all the books I’ve been looking forward to reading this year have been disappointing. (Little Stranger and Catching Fire especially). I really hope that it lives up to expectations.
I always have slight nerves before I read a book by either an authors whose work on the whole I have loved or an author who has written one amazing book I loved taht maybe it won’t work for me.
I am trying not to think about it like that this time as the more hype we add to it ourselves (plus the press etc) the more likely the book will not quite be as good as we hoped. I am aiming to think ‘the Time Travellers what??’
I can’t wait to read this! Lucky you having it already. I have a review copy winging its way to me and I am so excited! I loved The Time Traveller’s Wife so much. I definitely think Her Fearful Symmetry sounds like a modern sensation novel…it is set partly in Highgate Cemetery after all! You can’t get more gothic than that!

Only a month to go, it is one of THE books that I have been looking forward to this year. The Year of the Flood and The Angels Game are two others but I naughtily still havent read them yet!
This book was discussed on Newsnight Review last week — if you hurry it might still be on iPlayer. The whole episode was devoted to literature — they talked about the Nick Cave book, too.

So keen to read this, having just read Rachel’s review on Book Snob. But is that circle saying ‘Time Traveller’s Wife’ actually part of the cover? I HATE it when publishers do that.
I have just seen Rachels review and have just cracked open this gem of a novel, am hooked already. I am also determined to go off to Highgate over the weekend and have a nosey!
The little circle is indeed an advert for The Time Travellers Wife, I dont like them either but its a great way to push the book I suppose.
