When You Read This…

I will be on my holidays, don’t worry though I have got plenty of posts ready and waiting for your delights while I am away. If I don’t comment back or am not popping by your blogs over the next few days or so then you will know why. I haven’t vanished am just taking some time out. But where I hear you cry, well I thought I would do a little picture post today to show you some of the places I will be… with a little twist.

So I will have already flown over (I hate flying as you may well know) the sea for a very short trip of an hour in one of the new eco friendly planes (glad am helping save the planet but its still a plane) and then arriving on the Isle of Man and spending some time in the rather medieval looking Castletown for a few days…

Then off to in Port Erin where we will be boating to dive with basking sharks, there will not be any photographic evidence of this, ha…

Then it’s off too the Famous Five looking town of Peel…

Then it’s a couple of days in Douglas where we are actually staying on this road and they still have horse drawn trams…

And time for steam trains, fish and chips, rock pooling and paddling in the sea…

I can’t wait! Well… I will be there when you read this but you know what I mean! Hope you have lovely weekends planned? Catch up with you all properly next week, enjoy the Summer Reads Season (week) that all kicks off tomorrow if my scheduling goes to plan!

All pictures are from the wonderful site www.oldukphotos.com

Have a lovely break Simon. I loved the Isle of Man when we went there about 20 yrs ago, somehow I suspect little has changed. There was masses to do and visit though, and I’d like to go back with our daughter. Those postcards are amazing.

Once we have a certain event out of the way next week, I’ll be able to look forward to our holiday at the end of the month in Fowey, Cornwall.
